Benefits:
A home’s heat loss (and heat infiltration) also occurs through windows. New advances in technology and design have dramatically improved the performance of energy-efficient
windows. Glass coatings, gas fills, warm edge spacers and improved framing materials
enable ENERGY STAR qualified windows to deliver more benefits than simple double-paned windows.
Reasons to install energy-efficient windows:
• ENERGY STAR® qualified windows save you energy and money
• Efficient windows keep your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter
• ENERGY STAR® qualified windows help protect your possessions from sun damage
Incentive amount:
$1.50/square foot, please see Qualifications for specific requirements.

Qualifications:
1. Newly constructed homes do not qualify because they are already meeting window
requirements in current building code. Remodeling projects may not qualify if the
upgrade requires a building permit. Unheated spaces, such as a garage, do not qualify
for incentives.
2. Installed windows must have a U-Factor.32 or lower. (Please save your window stickers.)
3. Windows may be installed by the customer or contractor.
4. Windows must be installed and proof of payment (copy of cancelled check or charge
receipt) is required prior to submitting incentive application.
5. Work may be inspected. To ensure that your windows are installed correctly and to
gain the most benefit from energy efficiency, we recommend using a contractor.
Receipts or Contractor invoices must clearly indicate total number of qualifying windows and dimensions for each window. Copies of National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) stickers must be included for each window type.
