Electric Water Heaters

Benefits:
After heating or cooling, water heating can be the biggest energy user in your home.
Storage water heaters, the most common type of water heater, range in size from 20 to
80 gallons (or larger) and work by heating up water in an insulated tank. Because heat is
lost through the walls of the storage tank (called standby heat loss), energy is consumed
even when no hot water is being used!

Reasons to consider a more energy-efficient hot water heater:
  •  New energy-efficient storage water heaters contain higher levels of insulation around
the tank, substantially reducing standby heat loss – saving you money
  •  Water heaters fail with almost no warning, leaving little time to look for the water heater
that fits your needs and offers the highest level of energy efficiency. Be prepared, start       thinking about your next water heater BEFORE you need one
  •  If your water heater is currently leaking or is more than seven years old, consider
replacing it now. Don’t settle for whatever is “in stock” on the day your water heater fails,
start shopping for a new water heater today.
