What to consider before you purchase a new central air conditioner
• Equipment efficiency – units with a SEER rating of 15+ qualify for an incentive
• Proper installation – ensure that your unit operates properly by having the refrigerant
and airflow checked as part of a quality installation, additional incentives apply
• Equipment sizing – bigger isn’t necessarily better, properly sized units qualify for
additional incentives
Incentives and Qualifications:
Purchase of qualified model – (available effective January 1, 2007)
$250 incentive to customers on qualified models (15+ SEER/12.5 EER)
$25 incentive to participating contractor
Heat pumps do not qualify
Equipment must contain or have a field-installed Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV)
May be a replacement or a new installation

$75 incentive to program qualified contractor

Qualified Customers:
Residential customers who reside within the State of Washington and who purchase their
electricity from Pacific Power on Rate Schedules* 16, 17, or 18 are eligible to participate.
Landlords who own rental properties where the tenant is billed on Rate Schedules* 16, 17,
or 18 also qualify for this program.
*Find your rate schedule by looking under Detailed Account Activity on your bill. Next to
Electric Service you will find Residential Service – Schedule X below your address.
